Two ways to cut olive wood.

OLIVAMBRA is a French brand. Our pieces are made by hand, in small batches, in our workshop in Nabeul, Tunisia, from local olive wood.

Stack of olive wood and blue resin coasters

The shards

The olive wood is cut into geometric shards, then cast in a blue epoxy resin with the glint of water. Once sanded, every 9.5 cm square shows an arrangement you will not see twice.

End grain

For the boards, olive blocks are glued with the fibres standing up. The blade slips between the fibres instead of cutting through them: your knife keeps its edge and the board closes up over time. A groove all around catches the juice.

Every piece is unique: the natural olive grain changes from one board to the next.

A little oil keeps olive wood glowing.

Coasters

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. No dishwasher and no long exposure to direct sun. Now and then, a little linseed or olive oil feeds the wood.

Cutting boards

Wash by hand and dry straight away, standing on its edge. Oil regularly with a food-grade oil to prevent cracks. Never in the dishwasher, never soaked.
